About Us
TheĀ Literacy Council of Long Island (LCLI), formerly known as the Reading Specialists Council of Suffolk (RSCS), is a dynamic professional network dedicated to promoting awareness and understanding of current research and best practices in literacy education. Our members include educators of all levels and specialties, school leaders, university faculty, librarians, student teachers, literacy volunteers, and engaged community members, each one committed to advancing literacy and empowering learners of all ages.
Membership entitles you to free entry to all of our workshops as well as complimentary membership to New York State Reading Association (NYSRA), which includes free entry to their programs and a subscription to their monthly publications.
All attendees will be awarded 2.0 hours of CTLE credit and/or proof of attendance for each workshop at the conclusion of our meetings.
